Job Title: Trainee Youth Worker

Location: Young Movers, The Connie Centre, 39-41 Coinsborough Road, G34 9QN

Contract: 25 hours per week including some early evenings - specific times to be agreed with supervisor

Salary: £8.75 per hour

Probationary Period: 3 months

Accountability: Project Manager

Job description

This is a training post as such the successful applicant will receive full training and will shadow other YoMo staff in all aspects of delivery.

Main Duties

• To work as part of a team and develop positive trusting relationship with young people;
• Support the personal and social development of young people through creative programmes;
• Assist with and undertake day to day administration to ensure the smooth running of services

Person specification

We are looking for someone that is keen to work within a small staff team.

• Have an understanding of teamwork;
• Has an understanding of Youth Work;
• Has a passion to work with young people

PVG/disclosure requirements

Required - can start subject to a successful Disclosure/PVG scheme membership
